Neotropical otter

Lontra longicaudis has a brown, elongated body and membranes between its toes, which allows it to swim and dive with ease. Larger individuals may reach 1.5 metres in length and a weight of 15 kg. Their main diet is fish and crustaceans, as their habitat is streams, lagoons and wetlands from the northwest of Mexico through every country in Central and South America except Chile.
