Las Nutrias Lagoon Viewpoint

Just 1.5 km west of Laguna de Rocha lies Laguna de las Nutrias, a 26-hectare waterbody that hosts a significant breeding colony of waterbirds. Year after year, various species of herons, ibises (Plegadis chihi, Phimosus infuscatus), and brown-hooded gulls (Larus maculipennis) nest in this ecologically valuable site.
